Ambrose for Slack

Run /ambrose help in Slack for the full command list. The questions we get most:

Installing the app

A Slack workspace admin installs Ambrose from the Ambrose for Slack page. Installing adds the @Ambrose bot and the /ambrose command to the workspace.

Connecting your account

Run /ambrose login. New teams can sign in with Slack, which creates an Ambrose account. If your company already has an Ambrose account under a different email address, sign in with Google or Microsoft once to link the two, then Slack will recognize you.

A tool shows a lock icon

Tools are licensed per team. Locked tools are not part of your current plan — email us and we will tell you what unlocking one costs, or see Ambrose Cloud.

The bot cannot be messaged

If Slack says messages to the app are turned off, the workspace admin should reinstall Ambrose, then quit and reopen Slack. The setting takes a moment to reach every client.

Removing the app

A workspace admin can remove Ambrose from the workspace's app management settings in Slack. Ask us to delete the associated data and we will confirm when it is gone.
